Painted Objects

I had some time over the last few weeks... to enjoy painting some objects -- little wooden animals.... in a frivolous way. there's nothing special about this ... only a chance to be 'crafty' without thinking too much. it was fun to see the herd unfold.

i initially intended to give them as gifts for christmas... but.. as i grew more invested in how they inter-related -- i decided to keep them together. i will enjoy them for a while... THEN.... share them with others!

Chocolate Iris Floral

this lovely painting.... has been reworked from an earlier version. the deeper sepia tones have extra layers of wash... which darken the value. i enjoy it more now. the richness and glow are a bit more evident.
