A new swimmer... for your collection!

I started this painting at school -- to illustrate how I begin paintings. I generally do a small painting [maquette] in preparation for larger statements.

There is a lot freedom gained when you work small.


I try to carry that freedom into larger work -- utilizing spontaneity and freshness.
